YOUR PLANS. YOUR WAY TO SHARE.
More us. Less “who paid last?”
Sharing expenses does not require sharing every purchase or combining bank accounts. Keep a tab for the costs you both agree to share, with a split that fits your arrangement.
Start a shared tabA WORKED EXAMPLE
A shared weekend for two
| Expense | Amount |
|---|---|
| Groceries | €80.00 |
| Dinner | €60.00 |
| Train tickets | €40.00 |
| Total | €180.00 |
The weekend costs €180. At 50/50, each partner’s share is €90. If one partner paid the €80 groceries and the other paid the €100 dinner and tickets, a €10 repayment makes it even.

How to split with uOwe
- 01
Decide which costs are shared
Create a couple group for joint plans. Leave individual spending outside it so the balance reflects only your shared agreement.
- 02
Choose equal or proportional shares
Use equal amounts for a 50/50 arrangement. If you agree on 60/40, select percentages and enter those shares for the expense.
- 03
Check the net amount, not who paid last
A small purchase and a large purchase do not cancel out just because you alternated. Review the running balance and settle when it suits both of you.
A few useful answers
Do we need a joint bank account?
No. Record payments made from your own accounts and settle through your usual payment method.
Can we change the split for different purchases?
Yes. Choose the split on each expense, so a shared holiday can have a different arrangement from everyday groceries.
