KEEP THE GOOD CONVERSATION GOING.
The dinner was good. Keep the ending easy.
When one person picks up the bill, a clear split keeps the table from turning into a maths exercise. Divide equally when everyone agrees, or record exact amounts when orders are different.

Dinner for three
| Expense | Amount |
|---|---|
| Food | €48.00 |
| Wine | €24.00 |
| Dessert | €12.00 |
| Total | €84.00 |
The bill is €84, so an equal split is €28 each. If Ana pays the restaurant, Ben and Cleo each owe Ana €28. Ana’s own €28 share is already covered.

How to split with uOwe
- 01
Check the final restaurant total
Include any agreed tip or service charge once. The amount recorded should match what the payer actually covered.
- 02
Choose equal or item-based amounts
For an equal split, include everyone at the table. For different orders, add up each person’s items and use exact amounts that sum to the total.
- 03
Record the payback
Friends repay the payer using their usual method. Record those payments so the group can see the dinner is settled.
A few useful answers
What if the total does not divide evenly?
Use whole cents. For €100 split three ways, one person pays €33.34 and two pay €33.33. That adds up to exactly €100.
Can uOwe scan the restaurant receipt?
Receipt photos are planned for Pro and are not currently available. Enter the amount and description manually.
