Delete your uOwe account

1. Open uOwe on your phone and tap Settings in the bar at the bottom.
2. Scroll down to Account and tap Delete account.
3. Enter your password, type the confirmation word the app shows you (DELETE in English) and tap Delete account.

3. Enter your password, type the confirmation word shown on the page and choose Delete account.

Signed up with Google or Apple and never set a password? Choose Set a password in the same Account section first. We’ll email you a link, and once the password is set you can delete your account.

Want a copy of your data before it goes? Export it from the same Account section first.

• Your name, which is replaced with “Deleted user”, your email address and your profile photo.
• Your password, your Google and Apple sign-in, and every session, so you’re signed out on all your devices. Your devices also stop getting notifications from uOwe.
• Your friend connections, and any friend invites you sent that nobody has accepted yet.
• Everything in Money: your wallets, transactions, budgets, goals and recurring transactions.
• Groups where you’re the last member with an account.

• Expenses (with their receipt photos), payments and comments in groups you share with other people stay where they are, so everyone else’s balances don’t change. They show “Deleted user” instead of your name.
• If you own a group that still has other members, ownership passes to the member who has been in it the longest.
• An anonymous “Deleted user” record stays behind so those shared expenses still add up. It has no name, no email address and no way to sign in.

Deleting your account doesn’t cancel a uOwe Pro subscription, so cancel it first. If you subscribed in the Android app, cancel it in the Google Play Store. If you subscribed on the web, open uOwe Pro and choose Manage subscription.

Email hello@uowe.app from the address on your account and ask us to delete it, and we’ll delete your account for you.
